The Battle is Already Won

Do you feel the struggle against spiritual forces coming against you and your family? As your pastor, I am often aware of my own spiritual battles. Preaching truth in an age that celebrates rebellion, and standing on the front lines is difficult. The arrows of the enemy are very real. This is true for ministry, and it's true for you as you navigate this world as a Christian.
But be encouraged! God is our strength. He is with you at this very moment. You are never alone in the battle.
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God… He does not faint or grow weary… He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength” (Isaiah 40:28-29).
I read an article from Chuck Swindoll that encouraged me: “God specializes in impossible situations. (See Matthew 19:26 and Luke 1:37.) When you are overwhelmed, outnumbered, outmanned, outmuscled, or outsmarted, God steps in, because only He is qualified to be the specialist who can lead you to victory. Only He does it His way...”
It’s not about overpowering the enemy, it’s about obeying God, even when the wall looks too high and the odds seem too great. At Jericho, Joshua didn’t fight—he marched, he obeyed, and God brought the walls down. That’s how we stand, how we fight, and how we win.
“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed… struck down, but not destroyed… So we do not lose heart.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9, 16). Church family, if you’re weary, worship the Lord. If you’re tired, keep on standing. If you’re under fire, press in closer to the Lord. He is the One who will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you (1 Peter 5:10).
One more verse: “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). Can I get an "Amen?"
Andrea’s grandfather, Jimmy Resh, had a saying: "Keep on keepin' on".
This Sunday, we are keeping on. We will stand above the cultural trends, preach the truth without apology, and be a remnant church. As the song says, we are fighting a battle that is already won.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday with Armor on and ready to watch the Lord's victory.
